Allyson Felix was 18 when she took home the silver medal at the 200-meter race in the 2004 Summer Olympics. With an average of 22.18 She also created the World Junior Record for the 200-meter race. Paul is her father. He is a Baptist minister, and she was an accomplished sprinter when she was an teen. Allyson was directly related to Marlean her mother, a schoolteacher. Felix was a fan of her older brother Wes in the field. But, she didn't attempt to join the track team at Los Angeles Baptist High School North Hills until her ninth grade year. She was a star athlete in her high school career , which was completed in a matter of days. She was selected for the state championships within ten weeks. She placed 7th in the 200m race.
